Ab work when you least expect it

Who would have thought that public transport could aid in building abs?

The first few weeks of work, I was getting home and wondering why I had sore ab muscles. I wasn’t overexercising and I certainly hadn’t done any push-ups, sit-ups or crunches.

I felt like I was living a pretty un-ab–spired life.

Then the light bulb blew.

Maybe it was from standing on trains and buses, and walking up hundreds of steps each day getting to the tube?

I’d been engaging, empowering and locking on those abs when the bus driver suddenly braked and the train snaked left and right on the tracks.

Who needs Michelle Bridges and Denise Austin?

Free exercise is only a bus stop away.

Unfortunately the pain hasn’t amounted to a six-pack, but one can dream.
